Want more? Here are some fun Q&A:
Q: Your style is truly unique. Has it changed since you started working as an illustrator?
A: Thanks! Of course it has! I think that I still haven't found it. My illustration style changes constantly (I really love to experiment, specially when I look at other artists' works! I try to find what makes they art so special) I believe that my style is still evolving.
Q: How do you come up with new ideas?
A: I generally look for new ideas in common places... And then I start to imagine tons of invisible creatures that could possibly live there! Video games, art toys, tv shows and also my favorite movies, help a lot during the creation of new illustrations.
Q: What inspires you?
A: Tons of thing actually. Video games, horror movies, urban legends, mechas, vibrant colors, little and simple shaped-characters... Basically anything that catch my eyes... Oh! And pandas, of course...
I must admit that, as an illustrator, inspiration is a huge topic. Personally, I believe it is highly influenced by my mood.
Q: You have created outstanding pieces for the Festival Fallas de Valencia. Can you tell us a little bit about this experience?
A: It was completely unexpected. One of those little gems of being an illustrator. In a blink of an eye, I was requested to create some pieces for a festival!
The craftsman made a wonderful job to conceive some impressive sculptures based on my 2d concepts. I had green light to create anything I wanted, so I let my imagination run wild! I made tons of designs for some years, but the best part came when I was commissioned to create a piece for the Japanese Embassy. They were so glad with the results that I even received a thank you letter from the ambassador.
I hope one day I will be able to travel and meet all those people I contacted during this awesome work.
Q: Do you have any future side project you would like to share with us?
A: Nowadays, I work most of the time as a full time illustrator and art coordinator at Etermax (a well-known video game company based in Argentina) However, there are some personal projects that I have the pleasure to work on: The most important are some cool merchandising based on my artwork, character designs for video games and even my own studio!
